FAQs

Q: Can I work on my project after the venue closes? A: Yes, the venue closes at 5 PM both days, but you can continue working remotely. Just ensure you submit by the 12:30 PM Sunday deadline.

Q: Do I need to use all sponsor platforms? A: No. Baseten, LTX, TrackIt, and NVIDIA are recommended resources, not requirements. Focus on solving the challenge well.

Q: Can I switch challenge tracks mid-hackathon? A: Yes, but judges reward depth over breadth. Pick one track and build something that works really well.

Q: What if I don't have a team? A: Solo participation is allowed. Team formation happens Saturday at 10:45 AM if you want to find teammates.

Q: Are meals provided? A: Yes. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks provided both days. Dietary restrictions can be indicated during registration.

Q: What should I bring? A: Laptop, chargers, any preferred development tools. WiFi and workstations provided. Optional: headphones, external monitors if you prefer.

Q: Can I use my own video datasets? A: Yes, but your submission must also work on at least one provided test dataset for judges to evaluate fairly.

Q: Where do I get AWS Bedrock credits? A: Credits and access instructions will be provided in your welcome email and distributed during check-in on Saturday morning.

Q: What if my demo breaks during judging? A: Have a backup screen recording. Judges understand that live demos can have issues, but you should be able to show what your system does via recording if needed.
